AMC has been keeping us Walking Dead fans pretty well up-to-date by giving us behind the scenes interviews with the crew behind The Walking Dead. In what they call “Dispatches From the Set”, AMC has sat down with pilot director Frank Darabont, comic creator Robert Kirkman, make up effects specailst Greg Nicotero, and now they’re talking to Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd. Hurd is a widely known woman in the movie business, having worked on both Terminator and Aliens movies, just to name a few. In the interview, she talks about the potential behind The Walking Dead and how while zombies are a huge threat to the survivors, they’re really the only second threat towards the survivors.
In one part of the interview, Hurd is asked if she can see the show reaching 27 seasons; Kirkman’s dream:
Oh absolutely! He’s sitting next to me right now, and we’ve talked about how our ensemble cast members either transcend or fall victim to their baser human instincts, so there’s plenty of fodder for at least 27 seasons.
