Where: Somewhere around Concord, CA
What: A party to celebrate the premiere Season Finale of The Walking Dead. There will also be a live podcast to follow where attendees can give some input to what they thought. There will also be giveaways.
Okay, as many of you know, we are switching the Season Premiere party to a Finale Party. Due to all the factors working against a premiere party on 10/31, we decided to do a Finale party instead. I think it will work out better as we will have more fans to enjoy the show with.
I’m assuming that if you’re willing to go to the premiere, you’d be willing to go to the Finale. We’ll continue to use this poll to gather interest for the attendance of the party. If you have any cool ideas for the party please post in here. Here’s some of the ideas that we are thinking of doing so far:
- A podcast before the show. We will ask people what their thoughts were so far on the season.
Free giveaways. - We plan to work with local merchants (or personally donate some things) to give out some swag.
- A zombie walk?
- Depending what we can arrange, we may do a food drive to help support the local charities. (Maybe some businesses will give some kind of incentive if you donate)
We here at The Walking Dead Podcast are anxiously awaiting the premiere of The Walking Dead television show. The news has ramped up and the footage from SDCC has us all excited. Irwin and I have been talking, and we thought a premiere party for the show with a live podcast afterwards would be amazing.
We still don’t know the official date of the premiere, nor the time; but we do know that it will be towards the end of October. More than likely it will be on either the 24th or 31st of October. The show is scheduled to premiere after the season finale of Madmen. So, expect the time to be either 7:00PM (If we get the East Coast Feed) or 10:00PM PST.
With that information, we are asking our listeners and visitors to the site if they would like to do a big meet up and do a premiere party? We are thinking about holding it in one of the local restraunts/bars here in Northern California; specifically, Concord, California.
We are in the early stages of planning and wanted to get an idea of how many people would be willing to join us. We know we can pull in our personal friends, but we would like to see if our listeners have any interest. If it goes through, we plan to try to get some sponsors for some giveaways (otherwise we’re donating stuff ourselves).

You guys so gotta do this. My wife and I live in San Francisco and would love to attend a premier party.
17 yes votes in a single day. Not bad. We need more. When I shop the idea around to the bar&Grills I want to show them hard numbers where we’ll be bringing them good business. I think weith 50 yes votes it would be a good start.

As soon as we get the official date of the show, I can move on to the next part of planning. It’s kind of hard to approach places without an exact date. Hopefully we’ll hear something soon so that We’ll have all of september and October to promote it.
If I were in California I would absolutely attend. Just to far away. Now if you said they were holding this in Michigan or somewhere on the east coast this would be a different story. I know that’s pretty far fetched though. I’d love to be there though.
