One of the biggest event’s this year at San Diego Comic-Con 2010 was AMC’s panel for The Walking Dead. At the panel we met Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori Grimes), Jon Benthal (Shane Walsh), Laurie Holden (Andrea), and Emma Bell (Amy). All Walking Dead comic fans know that Andrea and Amy are sisters that joined the group of survivors when the apocalypse happened while on their way to Florida. At Comic-Con Holden and Bell both discussed what it was like working with one another on set; Holden couldn’t praise Bell’s acting enough.
In an interview with Buzzfocus at Comic-Con they got a chance to catch up with Emma Bell and ask her a few questions about the series. She tells them that the number one thing that caught her attention was that Frank Darabont was attached to the show. She then continues to talk about the wonderful casting and how the story and character drama is what will keep people interested in the show. Sadly I can’t embed the video for you all, but if one comes up, I’ll share it with you guys! You can watch it here.
I liked Emma Bell being cast as Amy from the beginning. Getting critical praise for her role in the 2010 horror movie Frozen (which I just added to my Netflix Queue), I have a feeling the small but important role of Amy is going to be done amazingly.
