GQ has a nice interview with Robert Kirkman posted on their website. Much of The Walking Dead talk was about things that have already been discussed in other interviews. Talking about his inspiration for The Walking Dead, the premise of it being a never ending story, the hurdles of getting it to television, etc.
In the interview Robert talks about his struggles as an Original Comic creator. He speaks about how he feels writers and artists need to break out from the corporate mold and bring new characters and stories to life. Kirkman also speaks about his take on the comic to movie trend that has been happening in recent years. He also speaks upon the subject of how writers have risen in popularity as compared to artists in the 90s.
