A month later and we are still getting news from SDCC. The important thing to pickup from the interview is that Kirkman reveals that Season One will end a bit differently then how Volume 1 ended. Watch the whole interview below:

A six hour movie. That’s an awesome way of looking at it, and why I’ve become a huge fan of television lately. With a film you only get a couple hours to cram everything in and you lose a lot of core character building in the process, but a serialized television show is an ongoing movie that you get fed every week!
I couldn’t be happier that this comic is now going to be a TV show instead of a movie, and that it is on AMC. Talk about a PERFECT fit.
I think Kirkman is really excited.
Well, yeah Kirkman has said in many interviews how excited he is about the show, but is it safe to say now that besides taking some (if not most) of the charachters and a general plot outline up to a certain point in those early issues, that the show is going to be totally seperate from the comic book?
