The Walking Dead Issues Released Digitally
Have that new shiny iPad? Want to quickly buy the latest issue of The Walking Dead without having to drive down to the LCS? You can now purchase the latest issues of The Walking Dead the same day that they are released in print form.
Image Comics publisher Eric Stephenson told Comics Alliance,
“In terms of scheduling, the digital version of the series has caught up to print version, so it makes sense to release both simultaneously. With the debut of the AMC television series only weeks away at this point, our aim is to make ‘The Walking Dead’ as widely available as possible, in all formats, and I believe everyone involved will ultimately find this beneficial.”

Cool now I don’t have to rush to my LCS, rush home, read the issue, and do the review. And it doesn’t look like the day and date release is on the image comics app but on the comixology app.
