The Walking Dead To Become A Series of Novels

According to Deadline, The Walking Dead will be transformed into a trilogy of original novels. The first of the books are expected to be released in 2011 under Thomas Dunne Books which is an imprint of St. Martins Press.

The books will be conceptualized and laid out by Robert Kirkman but the novel will be written by horror novelist Jay Bonansinga. The books will take place in The Walking Dead universe. No information has been given on whether it will focus on existing characters or will follow a new batch of survivors.
