The Quarter Bin did an interview with Frank Darabont and Robert Kirkman at New York Comic Con. In the interview Frank and Robert talk about adapting the comic to the television show. Frank talks about how thrilled he is that the zombie genre has been gaining more and more popularity. Robert explains how he is adamant about the show being a separate entity from the comic. He believes that what makes the comic so interesting is the spontaneity. He wants the show to not rely on the books but to become something of it’s own. Robert also speaks on how Frank has this vision and his ability to take the smallest thing and expand it into something larger.
