If there was a doubt that The Walking Dead would be AMC’s newest hit, it has been officially erased. In fact, it had the largest debut in AMC history and the largest cable premiere for 2010. The October 31st premiere for The Walking Dead garnered an overall rating of 5.3 million viewers with the 18-49 Adult key demo scoring at 3.6 Million viewers. The overall rating with later viewings was 8.1 million viewers.
It will be interesting to see what the Episode 2 numbers will look like. Has The Walking Dead truly captivated audiences?
