Find out what Norman Reedus had to say about his character who will be introduced during this upcoming episode of The Walking Dead. Norman plays Daryl Dixon who is the brother of Merle Dixon. Please be aware that Daryl also reveals whether or not his character returns for season two so avoid at least the second to last paragraph if you don’t want to be spoiled. You can check out the full interview over at Fearnet.
We get a new, human character on this week’s The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. The younger brother of racist Merle (Michael Rooker), who we last saw trapped on a roof top, handcuffed to a pipe. Daryl is played by Norman Reedus, whose previous credits include The Boondock Saints and its sequel, and The Messengers 2. In our exclusive interview, we talk to Norman about playing a redneck douchebag, working with zombies, and what is on the horizon for the recently-announced second season of The Walking Dead.
Tell me about your character, Daryl Dixon.
He is one half of the bad-ass Dixons. If you grew up with Merle as your big brother, you probably grew up with a lot of chips on your shoulders. He’s a wild card – you don’t know if he will save you or cut your throat while you sleep. He ends up fighting for the good team on the way to look for his brother, and you don’t know if that alliance will keep, or if he will betray it.
