At this year’s Paleyfest, IGN got the opportunity to interview the cast of The Walking Dead who were semi-candid about the details of Season 2 and their characters. And while it is common knowledge now that the characters will be heading to Hershel’s farm, what’s not so clear is who will be showing up on the farm and that’s where Producer Gale Ann Hurd comes in, she says that:
“Hershel will be there, and Maggie will be there. The thing about TV is that you can’t have quite as large an ensemble. It’s kind of a “Sophie’s Choice’ as to who you can do justice to, that should we go to Wershel’s farm we’ll be able to include.”
Steven Yuen, while not confirming that there will be a Maggie/Glenn romantic relationship has said that:
“Hershel has some “goods” that might be interesting to my character, so I think it’s safe to say that it’s not a far leap to make that assertion.”
And speaking of romantic relationships, Laurie Holden has commented on the Dale/Andrea relationship and whether or not that will happen:
“I think that’s a ways away. I think that Andrea’s going to punish Dale for a little while. I mean, she’s being so bratty right now, but I think that she’s really very resentful that he manipulated her like that, because I think that she really wanted to “check out” and be with her sister, and I think she feels like she had the right to decide what she was going to do with her own life, and the only reason she left the CDC was because she didn’t want his blood on her hands. So I think there’s going to be a bit of tension between Andrea and Dale, and I don’t think it’s going to go into lovey-dovey mode for awhile.”
