While there is no official announcement about whether or not the budget has been cut for the Second Season of The Walking Dead, Frank Darabont, during Hollywood Reporter’s annual Drama Showrunner Emmy Round Table, when questioned about whether or not the shows budget has been cut says that:
“Creatively I have no complaints thus far,” Darabont says. “But I believe if they do move ahead with what they’re talking about, it will affect the show creatively … in a negative way. Which just strikes me as odd. If you have an asset, why would you punish it?”
If the show’s budget is in fact cut, will we be satisfied with the content? What will the creators have to pull back on because of these cuts? And most importantly what kind of affect will this have on the overall top quality (that we’re used to) of the show?
