AMC has recently announced that The Walking Dead Season 3 will consist of 16 episodes. This Season (Season 2) consists of 13 episodes which is a 7 episode improvement over Season One’s 6 episode run. There is no word yet on when Season 3 will premiere or if Season 3 will be seperated into two parts with a mid season hiatus or not.
In other news, Glen Mazzara, Robert Kirkman, and the show’s writers have said that they don’t know what caused the zombie outbreak and they prefer to keep it that way
“Internally, we don’t know where the zombie outbreak started, how to cure it, anything like that, we haven’t really discussed it. We’re more interested in the continuing storylines. That’s something that’s not really addressed in the book. And that’s something that we’d like to keep, this show is about our characters. And about them trying to stay alive, hold on to their humanity, find a safe place, hopefully rebuild civilization. Just everything’s collapsed. So they’re under incredible duress. It doesn’t feel right that they would have those answers, and even if they did have those answers, what would they do with them?”

Dont get to involved in the character storylines. We need more action and not want to fall asleep watching this series. Its about zombies.
WE NEED MORE ZOMBIE ACTION!!!!!
I agree with Patrick, It seems that in every episode is a bit boring. No zombie action not like the those 1st three episode from season 1
Patrick and johann you are both idiots.
Maybe it’d be a good idea to have one survivor member get the answer to the cure and then have him get killed. Or maybe they finally get the cure and cure the entire planet, but find out that it didn’t work, only to create an even worse zombie.
I agree with you Jaiden, it would make the show more interesting with better zombies, or super zombies.
i agree with colton. if anybody wants to watch a zombie killfest, go play a video game.
and i halfway agree with victor and jaiden… those can’t come in just yet. i don’t exactly want this to be a copy of resident evil, ya know? like, “oh my god! we’re going to start dying because some idiot scientist who isn’t alive anymore decided to fuck with the zombies and create super zombies!!!”
in all reality, this show is as close to real life as it gets. shows exactly how people would behave if shit ever DID go down. shows exactly how stressed and how ridiculous things happen, and not just to one person but to everybody. THAT’S what “the walking dead” is about. not some fanboy’s particular view about zombies.
the best part of the walking dead, including the comic. is not the zombies (theyre just gravy!) the characters are what drive the series! if you want nothing but zombies then play dead rising. for one i love the show in all its intended glory!
I agree, it’s a great show. I’d hate to see it sway towards mindlessness. Those behind the show have my thanks….great job.
That’s not to say that I don’t enjoy some late nights of left for dead every once in a while.
I think the show is fantastic. So far tgeres been just enough drama in the character story lines to keep u on ur toes and wondering whats going to happen next without it being repeative. And theres just enough zombie action and gore to give it that gut wrenching edge with out knowing exactly what to expect with every episode. I cant wait for season 3!!!
do you know when season 3 will be out on the tv or dvd. Getting withdrawal symptions as a big walking dead freak
