The Walking Dead Podcast is a podcast dedicated to The Walking Dead Television show on AMC as well as the comic by Image comics. It is hosted by Josh from The Geek Savants and Irwin.
The show airs every Monday and Friday.
Monday: Full recap of the latest episode of The Walking Dead on AMC
Friday: Listener Feedback episode where the listeners can give their opinions.

Who are we?
We’re just two guys that love pop culture and love to talk. Josh has been an avid fan of The Walking Dead for over a year and Irwin is a new fan of the series. We both love good television and are excited to see The Walking Dead transformed into a television show. Rather than wait until there are a half dozen podcasts dedicated to The Walking Dead before starting our own, we decided to start now and cover both the TV series as well as the comic.
Why should you listen?
Because we are going to be honest with our opinions. If we don’t like something with the show or the comic, we’ll let you know. That doesn’t mean we are going to be negative for the sake of being negative. We don’t want fans or the creator/cast (if they come on) to shy away from us, we just want to be the voice of the average fan.
What do we cover in the Podcast?
We cover all news regarding The Walking Dead. Whether that is news about the comic or about the Television show.
When the show starts we will be doing a recap and analysis of each show. We will also be covering the comic book on a monthly basis (Once we cover all the trade paper back volumes).
What if I don’t want to read the Book but just want to hear about the TV show?
Good news, we save the comic book discussion for the end of every show. If you don’t want spoilers you can simply stop listening at that point and not miss anything in the podcast.
Conception:
The Walking Dead Podcast was conceived by Josh in 2009 when AMC announced that they had picked up the rights to The Walking Dead comic book by Robert Kirkman to be turned into a television show. Josh, being an avid listener of The Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack as well as the 2bitgamer’s Lost Specials, saw The Walking Dead as an opportunity to create a podcast based on a property that he enjoyed in comic book form. After sitting on the idea for months, Josh was finally convinced to go forward with the podcast after it was announced that AMC had officially ordered six episodes.
Josh turned to an old friend in Irwin for co-hosting duties. Without knowing much about the series other than the setting, Irwin agreed right away to join as a co-host. Irwin, also being an avid Lost fan and podcast listener was intrigued by the premise of The Walking Dead. Within two days he had read through the first two volumes of the comic and was ready to read the rest of the series as well as start the Podcast.
